Nestled
just 30 minutes east of Tampa, with southern oak trees and open pastures on the outskirts
of Lakeland, Florida, Panache Arabians had it's beginnings in 1991 when owners Nola
Gedeon, DVM, and her husband, Roy Tyler bought their first Arabian, a polish weanling
filly named Snowshill Hope from Snow and Mary Martin of Lakeland, FL. Roy thought his wife needed a
diversion from her busy veterinary practice and hoped that a horse would bring her home
earlier at night. Roy and Nola soon learned that Hope's dam, a beautiful chestnut mare
named Rubaska, was for sale and they purchased her with the intention of breeding her the
following spring. Within the year they had purchased the Negatraz daughter, Negamira
after seeing a sales ad.
Within eight years,
they have expanded Panache Arabians to a 28 stall barn, arena, round pen, and trainer's
apartment and now have a broodmare band of 9 purebred Arabians and one Saddlebred mare.
Sires of the
broodmares include Negatraz, Ben Bask, Galvez, Majdan, Toi Soldier, Mahksous, MHR
Nobility, and Muscat. All the mares were selected based on pedigree, beauty and
type, athletic ability, and temperament. Their breeding program is aimed toward the
production of beautiful athletes with pure Polish and Polish related bloodlines.
Some of their most
promising three and four year old performance horses will be in the show ring in 2000,
primarily in English and Country English disciplines. A very pretty pinto Half Arab mare
shown in Country English Pleasure, "What's New Pussycat". was a crowd pleaser at
the fall 1999 show circuit.
Nola and Roy are
very enthusiastic about their three year old pure Polish Concensus son,
"Continuum". With beauty, type, a big ground covering trot, and a look at me
attitude, he's sure to have a successful career in the show ring and a real crowd
pleaser.
They are very
pleased to announce the arrival of Continuum's first offspring, a Half Arab colt born
3/17/00. He's everything they expected and more...tall, correct, has arab type with a
dished head, good ears, short back, great tail set and will definitely trot big-time. Also
anticipated in April is the arrival of a full sibling to Apollopalooza, out their mare, TF
Magical Witch.
Panache Arabians
looks forward to a busy Region 12 show. They welcome inquiries on their sale horses
and breeding inquiries on their stallions. |
